Aún así, Wisin dijo en un comunicado de prensa que tanto él y Yandel “estamos muy contentos con este premio por el cual hemos trabajado arduamente durante los pasados diez años”.

Wisin agradeció la premiación a “Dios, a nuestras familias, a los productores y a los miembros de la Academia Latina de la Grabación”, así como a los demás reguetoneros puertorriqueños que fueron nominados al premio Alexis y Fido, Tego Calderón y Tito “El bambino”.
